We had a glorious history of 125 years. Our school started as middle school in 1889 by the Raja of Cochin. This is the first school for Girls in the Kingdom of Cochin. then it was upgraded as High School. Later Vocational Higher Secondary and Higher Secondary sections were started. A Music School (SRV Music School and a Pre primary section is also working in the school compound.
Higher Secondary Section of the school started in 2004 with two batches. Our pioneer Principal Smt. K.V.Meenakshy Teacher got the First State Award for the Higher Secondary Teachers in 2009.
